OK! OK! OK! Enough already...I'm writing a new post!!

Just got back from a great weekend camping.  Weather could not be more perfect.  We went to McCormicks Creek...best hiking there is.  I think I even like the hiking better then Turkey Run.  It is absolutely beautiful on the trails and some neat creeks to splash in.  Morgan is queen at catching crawfish.  Now is it crawfish, crawdaddy, or crayfish??  Her daddy taught her the fine art of turning over just the right rock.  We believe in handing down worthy skills to our children.  Sade is the wood splitter...yes, she came home with all her fingers.  Now we just have to set an alarm next to her next time so that she can have a campfire ready when I awake in the morning...can I have coffee with that??  Madison is the trail boss.  She like to hike as much as I do.  She just does a whole lot more off roading than I do...or should I say off trailing.  Sydney typically is the critter keeper.  She usually finds some sort of varmint to hang on to.  Can't wait to go again.

It was Super Hero night at youth group last night.  I went as a fighting Ninja!  You should have seen my matrix moves...spins, turns, and even flips...yeah right.  Chopper was the mysterious Zoro.  A man with a mask and a cape who can resist such a man as this??  Sade was an evil war lord...minus the evil.  She even had the menacing dagger finger nails.  Maddy was a ...what should we call her...hippie goddess of peace, joy, and loooove.  She was a bit creative on her costume.

The girls and I just finished a side job.  We painted the exterior of a house.  Thankfuly Chopper came and sprayed the body of the house...So we just had all the trim work.  After 4 days of standing on a ladder with my head looking up and my arms reaching above...I feel...more than my age...no comments.  We finished the last bits yesterday and cleaned up the yard so it looks quite transformed.  I believe some of the girls still have traces of paint in their hair and hands, and lots on their clothes.  They are hard workers.  I'm real proud of them.

We have had one nice day and I'm ready to plant flowers, mow the lawn, paint the garage...whatever is OUTSIDE I'm ready.  I see my spring bulbs poking through the ground...I think they are as anxious as I am.

FeBRRRRRuary

I have changed the spelling of this month to FeBRRRRRRuary...it now has capitol BRRRRRRRR in the middle in honor of the temperature.  I am so ready to shed the jackets and pull out my flipflops.  I am ready for a major road trip south.

Basketball ends this week.  The girls have done great.  They finish their tournament on Thursday...score big girls.

Indoor soccer is almost over also...Morgan has her tournament on Saturday.  Back to back games 10:00 and 11:00.  Should be good.

All this winding down and American Idol just starting up...I am soooo glad that the first half is over...can people be that awful and not know it.  Now begins the real competition.  If only I had dvr so I could skip the commercials.

If anyone finds the SUN send it my way. Feel free to drop off a little sand at my door so I can run my toes through it. Smile

January Resolution #2: Eat Dessert first

Why do we wait??  I used to eat a cinnamon roll from the outside in.  But who really likes the hard crusty part...we are all working to get to the gooey center.  Why not start at the moist, gooey, frosted center and if we get full, who cares, we don't really want the outside anyway.  Same with pie...I love the crust!  So I need to eat it upside down.  Eat the crust then if I want the filling...bonus.  When have you gone to a restaurant and ordered something "small" so that you would have room for dessert.  9 out of 10 times I'm too full by the time I'm finished.  So maybe I should order dessert and then if I have room I get a meal????  Just a thought.
